Art Factory Presents Beers, Burgers and One Sweet Transvestite
The movie nights at Art Factory Hostel are going well. Last Wednesday was our biggest night ever. We showed 24 Hour Party People. I wasn’t that thrilled with it, probably because I’m not too fond of either junkies or the Happy Mondays. I find both of them equally boring. But the movie is funny.
There were more porteños attending than ever before, which is why we all actually made some money. Apparently, they all really love Rocky Horror Picture Show, which is why we’re showing it this week. I had planned on showing Rock ‘n’ Roll High School (maybe you understand the sort of humor I favor) but was overidden by public opinion.
I find Rocky Horror feels like a quaint museum piece and usually find everyone’s laughter fairly canned. Not to mention, it’s become beloved of stupid frat boys the world over. I think its “progressive” reputation is undeserved. It was certainly ahead of its time, however. I don’t usually enjoy it unless there are some real hardcore fans attending, with costumes and in character. Then I might change my mind. Nevertheless, I’ll probably leave after I’ve finished flipping burgers.
Quite the recommendation, right? I’m in the minority on this one so I’m sure we will all have a good time.
Here’s my flyer:

Beers, Burgers and One Sweet Transvestite
That’s this coming Wednesday at 9 pm. Movie is free. Burgers and beers cost money.

I love the picture of you 'guarding' your bucket of beers!
Typical or stereotypical? You decide.
