What to do
Today in Buenos Aires.
Here’s what Art Factory Hostel offers every week:
Every Thursday and Saturday: San Telmo Secret Walk
Emilio’s Secret Walk is all about Argentine history; and no one who takes the tour comes away less than impressed.
For more info, click here.
Every Wednesday and Friday: San Telmo Art Walk
Explore San Telmo’s burgeoning arts scene including galleries, graffiti, antiques and local artisans’ and designers’ shops. It’s a long tour - around 6 hours - but we stop for empanadas and ice cream along the way and end up in San Telmo’s oldest bar, La Coruña, for a beer or two. If you ask me nicely, I’ll take you to La Puerta Roja.

Every Tuesday: Asado!
Most Fridays we host a traditional Argentine BBQ. $35 pesos gets you all the beef you can eat, plus salad, potatoes and one beer or soda. We pour the Argentinian red wine until we run out.
Every Wednesday: Movie Night
Join us and a horde of local film buffs in the bar every Wednesday for an eclectic selection of international and local cinema. Often art-house. Unsurprisingly, what with it being Art Factory.
Every Thursday: Music, Mexican & Mojitos
Well, it might not be mojitos every week, but I needed something that rhymed. Anyway, join us every Thursday for excellent live music, delicious mexican food and the two magic words loved the world-over: Happy Hour.
Drink some wine, take a tango lesson, eat typical Argentinian food and watch a tango danced by the pros. $160 pesos includes transportation to and from the milonga .
